Updates from Korea

(Updated 7 times)

In addition to everything below... Here is some general changes that are coming in Episode 6 that Soomy put together about 7months ago.

Here is some various info I was able to dig up.... I will update this with more info as I find it.

Without a real translator its hard to tell what most of the stuff is but I was able to uncover some.

New Re-Roll Stat System

Here is a couple screenshots of level 60 chars after the 25->35 stat change and reroll.
Knight with 18Con, at level 60... 1400 hp... droooool
Elf with 28Con, at level 60... I am pretty sure that this chart is detailing the hp/mp of a Royal, under the new stat system. It shows the change at each Con and/or Wis point up to 18 base. Click for bigger version.

Here is the new interface when creating a brand new character: a knight and a DE.
You can see the little window that indicates which attributes of your character are changing based on the stats selected. Some of them are obvious, like the hp/mp ones.
It looks to me like there will not be any more cookie cutter characters that we have seen so many of these days... Instead of the typical full Con, or Full str builds, we will see more hybrids.

More information on Re-Roll Stat Interface here.
This appears to be for elf, showing various changes to the char with each different build.

And this interface is the Re-Roll interface. This one shows the actual HP/MP for the level of your character with the stats you have selected for your re-roll. (More information needed if anyone can assist with translation on this.)

Pets/Dolls

Links to all Dolls

And a lot of people are interested in finding out what the new pets are that follow everyone around. It appears that you can take these new pets out anywhere that you are, even SOE or TOS3f, or 100f TOI... They follow you and keep up, and they do not ever die or take any damage, nor do they attack. They just provide buffs to the owner.

I was not able to translate much... But the one that most mages appear to be using looks like a small version of Kenny from Southpark (little creature in a orange hoody) and it gives 15mp regen every 64seconds. Very nice! How do you get it? I have no idea.More pet info here. If anyone wants to translate.

Weapon Changes

And... Possibly biggest news of all. Huge changes to two handed weapons. Pole arms, axes, spears.

Weapon Changes Here

Most are getting huge increases in damage, something that has been needed for a long time.
Check out Crimson Lance going from 15/15 to 21/21. Silver Axe going from 7/14 to 17/24... Damn!

Summons and Magic (credit to Coronis)

For info on new summons and all the changed summons, you can read Coronis' post on Lineageone.com here. He also covers some changes to spell mp cost, such as CoC and Erupt being drastically reduced in MP cost. They are going down to 20mp... I hope Int based Mp reduction still takes place, cause that will mean only 14mp to cast Erupt... 15mp to cast CoC... 9mp for VT!

Food

Food! Cooking food, eating food. I can find all kinds of info on food, but I cant read any of it!

So far I can make out food that adds mp/hp, adds mp/hp regen... I heard of food that adds MR, and Damage, and even EXP!
This one gives +1sp.More food info here, if anyone wants to translate for us.

And here

Stun / Lastavard

I am not sure if this is just someones sprite changes, or if the stun animation has been changed... It looks to be larger and has an image under the target as well as above. (The down arrow is what makes me think it may just be a sprite change, but who knows.)Stunning has now also become a HUGE part of Lastavard. Monsters from the start, all the way to the 4th floor can stun. (Not all monsters, but there are monsters on each floor that can.) They also are known for targeting the healers and mages. Increasing the need for a party to hunt Lastavard.

Stunning

As I said (in another topic accidentally) the problem with Grouping has never been people not wanting to (or needing to in some places) but rather that Lineage strongly discourages.

It's really that simple. So rather than fixing the basic problem with grouping in Lineage, they are taking the "let's punish them for not grouping too!" approach.

NC at its most awesome.

Well there are many more reasons to have a group to hunt there, it basically requires it now.

Yes, but aside from "needing to" in order to hunt there, is there any reason beyond that to group?

I ask simply because I'm just not seeing it. They are trying to force people into grouping without providing any return for doing so.

Lineage (at it's core) just is not designed for group activities above and beyond seiges. There are just too many flaws in the core mechanics that are still unaddressed with this increased emphasis on grouping.

Punishing people for not grouping...and punishing them for grouping. Surely I'm not the only one who sees the stupidity here?
