Lets save money and see how long it will take us to hit 100mil adena. The main reason being, we needed to save money up to buy her a new pair of T-Boots. But we also just wanted to see if we could do it and how long it would take.

Well, thanks to the relatively successful blowing sprees and a couple of good drops... We had 80mil on Sunday. We were pretty happy with ourselves. 80mil a week is probably average for some of you, but a true rarity for me. I can level fast, or I can make money fast, but last week we managed to do both. Soon after that, a pair of Tboots came with in our grasp. Someone had a pair, and was only looking for 130mil! A bargain! I was expecting to have to pay closer to 200mil. So... Seeing as they were 70mil cheaper then expected, we set out to raise the difference in a hurry before they were gone.

That night, we borrowed 50mil to put us over the 130mil so that we could get them before they were gone. Cosa stayed up way late into the night to catch the guy that had them, and buy them from him...
Thats when he tells us he got an offer of 135mil, and if we could go higher, we could get them...

So we got into a bid war. A war we couldnt win. Borrowing more was not an option. I was only doing it for a bargain, 130mil couldnt be passed up, but I wasnt going to go into that much debt if it wasnt super cheap. So we returned the borrowed money, and set back to raising money the old fashioned way.

The only way we could get that guys pair of tboots was if we could some how come up with 160mil by that night. We had 80mil. We needed 80mil, in 7hours.

Could it be done by non-cheaters?

Where would you do it?

Our first thought was lesser dragons. Farm and Farm and hope we get a HOD or a bunch of bzels. We debated pulling our mages from resistance to use them.
We thought maybe we could just camp bosses for 7hours. And hope we get a couple charms. Both of these options seemed to far fetched, to uncontrollable, with results far to unpredictable.

We didnt think we could do it. We were ready to pass up these tboots, and just wait for another pair to come along when we had the money for it.

But we didnt give up.

We decided to take the furthest, most random option, and we went to 81f+ to hunt down an AS book. The entire time thinking... There is no way we will get one...

Less than 30minutes into the hunt.... Sure enough... SB: Advance Spirit hit the floor.

A few gasps of surprise...

A few desperate bids of global spam for low low prices...

And it sold for 40mil in under 20minutes.

Two hours into our seven hour quest, and we were at 120mil.

There was absolutely no way we would get another AS book, and sell it, by the time we had to have the money for the boots. So we went about seeing what items we could sell off. I am never a fan of downgrading current items to pay for new ones (always felt counter productive to me) so we avoided that option. And then we remembered the Sword of Silence we had that was just sitting in storage ever since I got my Ret. Wasnt using it, had no plans to use it, so in yet another bid of desperation... We sold it off for 44mil.

80mil in 7hours? We did it! Well, we actually did 84mil in just under 4hours!! But still very astonishing for us. We were happy.

With money in hand... All we needed was a seller. We contacted the sellers pledge... They sent the guy a text and he came home from work.

And tells us... The other guy offered 165m.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~>.<~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our final offer... 170mil. Take it... or leave it..

He took it. (still 30m cheaper than we were expecting to have to pay.)

And Cosa got her boots back v.v~

Which was good, because after the 5th bzel failed on her nkboots the previous day, she blew them up... And was walking around bare foot.

Moral of the story... Even when the odds are against you, time is against you, and your goal that was once so close slips further and further away.... Never give up! If we can do it, you can too. =)

Now, onward to our next goal! We will update on that soon. =)

(Sorry for the lack of pictures)Sk8http://www.blogger.com/profile/00756649170845687045noreply@blogger.com
